Okay, so in Science class yesterday we were talking about sleep cycles and melatonin and my science teacher said, “if you’re trying to sleep, avoid one colour. Blue. Your melatonin levels decrease when looking at the colour blue because it’s the colour of the sky.” GUYS, I KNOW WHY NONE OF US SLEEP. TUMBLR IS BLUE.
THE JIG IS UP, YOU SNEAKY BASTARDS. WE’RE ONTO YOU.

Uhm excuse me, I can’t wait that long. After what happened to Dean.. It’s not fair
WHEN WILL HEAVEN UNDERSTAND THAT CASTIEL’S CHOICE IS AND WILL ALWAYS BE DEAN
ALSO, I WOULD LIKE TO ADD THAT ONE OF DEAN’S BIGGEST INSECURITIES IS THAT NO ONE WILL PUT HIM FIRST.
YOU KNOW, BEFORE THE JOB, BEFORE VENGEANCE, BEFORE SUPERNATURAL CREATURES, BEFORE DEATH, BEFORE A NORMAL LIFE, AND ULTIMATELY, BEFORE THEMSELVES.
AND DEAN KNOWS THAT IT’S A SELFISH NEED TO ASK OF THE PEOPLE “HE’D PUT BEFORE HIMSELF” TO PUT HIM FIRST FOR ONCE. HE YEARNS FOR IT, BUT HE DOESN’T FEEL ENTITLED TO IT.
SAM, THE ONE DEAN WOULD PUT FIRST BEFORE ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING ELSE, MADE IT CLEAR THAT HE WOULDN’T DO THE SAME FOR DEAN. AND DEAN’S OBVIOUSLY HEARTBROKEN ABOUT THIS.
AND ALL THOSE YEARS DEAN HAS KNOWN CAS, HE HAS NEVER TRULY FULLY GRASPED JUST HOW MUCH HE MEANS TO CAS.
SURE, CAS HAS GIVEN UP EVERYTHING AND WOULD GIVE ANYTHING FOR HIM, BUT DEAN ALWAYS ASSUMES THAT IT’S SIMPLY FOR THE GREATER GOOD. THAT CHOOSING DEAN WOULD MEAN CHOOSING TO DO THE RIGHT THING.
SO WHILE CAS PULLS OUT ALL THE STOPS FOR DEAN, DEAN WILL NOT CONSIDER THIS A FEATHER IN HIS CAP, BECAUSE TO DEAN, CAS HAS CHOSEN A LOT OF THINGS OVER DEAN—HEAVEN, PURGATORY (PENANCE), POWER, INSANITY, THE WAR, ETC.
BUT DEAN NEVER UNDERSTANDS THE REASON BEHIND CAS’ CHOICES—AND THE REASON IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE DEAN (“I’m doing this for you, Dean, I’m doing this because of you”, “I’m going to find a way to redeem myself to you”, “I do everything you ask, I always come when you call”, “I gave everything for you”)
THEN FINALLY, DEAN IS IN THE POSITION WHERE HE BLATANTLY KNOWS THAT HE IS THE WRONG CHOICE—THAT HE IS STRIPPED OF HIS “GREATER GOOD” EXCUSE, BECAUSE THIS TIME, HE’S THE ANTAGONIST AND HE KNOWS IT.
AND HE HAS TO BEAR WITNESS TO CAS HAVING TO CHOOSE BETWEEN HIM AND WHAT’S RIGHT.
BUT CAS STILL CHOOSES HIM. NOT BECAUSE HE’S THE RIGHT CHOICE, BUT BECAUSE HE’S DEAN.
AND DEAN REALIZES JUST HOW MUCH HE MEANS TO CAS, AND THAT CAS WILL PUT HIM BEFORE ANYTHING AND ANYONE.
AND IT IS IN THESE REALIZATIONS THAT DEAN GETS WHAT HE HAS ALWAYS NEEDED.
